The purpose of the work carried out in the four cantons was to take an interest as much in the ordinary landscape as the exceptional sites. The landscape reflects an evolutive reality, shows signs of local dynamism, assets and weaknesses.
The transformations of the landscape must be therefore anticipated and accompanied to maintain quality. Agriculture shaped the landscape originally, as it still does today.
