Types of hedge and evolution in their
management :
the hedges with mainly tall trees |

The bocage has diminished. Hedges are often looked after
very little or not at all.
Those that are, especially alongside roads, are not managed as in the past
: mechanisation, irregular maintenance, have made significant changes in
the typology of the hedges. |
